Stunning vintage, professional quality, large french copper'grands magasins du louvre paris' number 22. Possibly circa 1920's - 40's. The saucepan is in generally very good condition, however, it does have one small dent to the curve on the base, possibly due to heavy use in a hotel, chateau or large house, which gives it some very slight movement, when sat flat.
In addition, the item has light surface scratching and marks relative to its age and use. The saucepan is stamped'grands magasins du louvre paris' number 22 and made of hand beaten, 2.5mm copper, with iron handle and copper rivets. The tin lining is generally complete but there are signs of copper showing through on the rivets and would need to be re-tinned for use. We have left the item the condition in which it was sourced, however, with professional restoration, it would make a stunning centre piece for any kitchen.
Please see all photographs for details, as they form part of the description. Copper thickness - 2.5mm. This item is made of copper and iron.
