Thank you for your understanding. What a most beautiful large sized industrial french hammered copper patisserie pan.Unusually, this piece is tin lined, so can be used for many other patisserie tasks other than just sugar work. The handle was hand beaten from iron, formed by a true french artisan the copper has been spun and shaped over a mold to create the rounded shape. You will note that the pouring spout in just under the top rolled rim, which creates a barrier when pouring to slow down the poured out liquids and help stop spillages during delicate precision pouring into molds. The handle plate is secured firmly by four old hand made copper rivets.
The long metal handle is flattened and then rounded and tapered to accommodate a wooden handle which is no longer there, but it is still very much usable as is. The length of the metal handle and the roundness of the underside of the copper bowl, makes it sit off of flat. This pan is of excellent quality and is still very much usable, day in day out.
It is not stamped, there is a small non uniformed hammered detailing in the copper sidewalls. There are minimal dings for its age and it will last you well.
A most beautiful pan, still very much able to function for you as was intended. It has some very very light scratches and dark age mark scars showing its past life in all its glory. The tin lining has darkened internally from past usage. A real honest piece of french craftsmanship. This is a stunning old patisserie pan with a conical hollow metal handle that attaches to the pan with 4 copper rivets. This lovely pan will still work hard for you for many years to come.
