French Copper Saucepan Oval with Wooden Hand Made Handle Vintage
This vintage french copper oval shaped saucepan with lid has a handmade wooden handle and rivets. It has a flange or lip all the way around, up approximately 3cm from the base. The tin lining is intact. It is likely that the saucepan is the top part of a double boiler set used for melting chocolate, cheese, making sauces and other delicate tasks. The wooden handle is affixed with metal to the bowl and has a ring of copper above the metal section. Perfect for adding character to your french farmhouse kitchen or country kitchen, for decoration but not for cooking. The saucepan is approximately 12cm to the lip and the bowl is approximately 20cm long x 14cm wide. There are some tarnish marks (see photos) and the flange or lip is a little uneven. This item is made of copper and tin.
