Beautiful, very large, professional quality, vintage, french copper, shallow saucepan with large cast iron handle and copper rivets. Stamped "24" to represent the diameter of the pan at 240mm. Circa 1950's / 70's.
Probably originally commissioned for a large household or hotel. The pan is in generally very good condition, with no movement when placed on a flat surface and no dents, splits or damage. The exterior copper, however, does show signs of surface pitting, light scratching and tarnishing, relevant to its age and use. The base of the pan does show heavier scratch marks, again, due to its age and use. The long, beautifully curved, cast iron handle is of very high quality and is firmly fixed to the pan, via 3, high quality, copper rivets. The internal tinning is very heavily tarnished and the item would need to be re-tinned for use. A great size copper saucepan, which would make a stunning addition to any kitchen. Please see all photographs as they form part of the description. Length of handle - 275mm. Thickness of copper - 1.8mm.
This item is made of copper and iron.
