Circa 1940's / 60's. Probably originally commissioned for a large household, hotel or restaurant. The pan is in generally very good condition.
However, the pan does have some very slight movement, due to age and use, when placed on a flat surface, which would not affect the use of the pan. The exterior, hand hammered, copper side and the base curvature, do show signs of light surface scratching, pitting and tarnishing, relevant to its age and use.
The long, beautifully curved, cast iron handle is of very high quality and is firmly fixed to the pan, via 3, high quality, copper rivets. The internal tinning is very heavily tarnished with some signs of copper showing through, and therefore, the item would need to be re-tinned for use. A great size copper saucepan, which would make a stunning addition to any kitchen.
Please see all photographs as they form part of the description. Length of handle - 250mm. Thickness of copper - 1.8mm.
We can offer the option of having all of our vintage copper cookware professionally re-tinned for use. This item is made of copper and iron.
