This is a rare and great set of antique copper pots. When i acquired the pans i learned that the pans had been used in a manor house/chateau in the early 1900s in the normandy region of france. I guess this is the time they were made. They then were passed down to the previous oweners grandparents. The set consists of 4 saucepans and 4 lids. The copper is gorgeous, a lovely golden colour.
Although the pans are heavy the lids are lightweight, the handle on the pans are copper. The cast iron handles on the pans are solidly held on with copper rivets.
The pans can't be used for cooking as there's copper showing through. A great decorative set to hang in a country style kitchen. The pans are in antique condition, they're slightly misshapen with bumps and stains.Total weight 5.7kg - the pans weigh 4.8kg and lids 0.9kg. 5.5" by 3" or 14cm by 7.5cm. 6" by 3.5" or 15cm by 9cm. 7.5'' by 4'' or 19cm by 10cm. 8.25" by 4.25" or 21cm by 11cm. The lids measures 15cm, 16cm, 19cm, 21cm and diameter. I'm now on facebook here. Please have a look at my other pieces of french cookware, vintage artifacts and antiques.
